The first issue of our brand new magazine, Better Lives, is now available.

We will publish two issues of Better Lives each year, featuring real stories from some of the Freemasons and their family members we have helped and those who have undertaken unique and exciting challenges to raise funds for us. You can also read about some of the grants we have awarded to charities across England and Wales, totaling over £3.2 million.

As a new charity, we are working hard to ensure that those who need our help are aware of the support that is available and how to get in touch, so we encourage you to share this newsletter as widely as possible. We would also like to thank everyone who has contributed to this issue, whether you are a beneficiary, or one of the many Freemasons across the country working tirelessly on our behalf.

Inside Issue 1

Take a first look at issue 1 of Better Lives, offering you the latest news from the Masonic Charitable Foundation.

In our first issue, focusing on health, you can read about some of the health care grants we have given to Masonic families and medical research grants we have awarded to charities.

On page 16 , read how Tommy’s life was saved when his Lodge encouraged him to seek our help.

On page 8, find out how Chloe returned to her dreams of dancing after a serious injury.

On page 13, discover how a £65,000 grant to the INSPIRE Foundation will fund research which aims to improve the quality of life for those living with spinal cord injuries.
