Over 60 freemasons along with their wives, partners and children from across the province took part in the annual ‘Ride the Lights’ event in Blackpool.

The freemasons and their family members were taking part in the ride along Blackpool seafront to raise funds for the West Lancashire MCF 2021 Festival appeal.

The annual event is held on the Tuesday night, the week before the illuminations are switched on. It gives a fabulous traffic-free opportunity to preview the illuminations.

The ride is always well supported by locals and visitors alike as it is great opportunity to get out and about on bikes with both family and friends.  It is a car-free evening with the seafront closed to cars to enable riders to safely start at any point along the promenade, from Starr Gate at South Shore to Red Bank Road in Bispham.

Overall the masonic riders and their families raised a total of over £3,000 for the MCF 2021 Festival.
