Learning at Work Week is a unique annual event. It’s led nationally by Campaign for Learning and by employers and learning champions in their organisations.
Each year focuses on a unique theme, and for 2025, the theme is ‘Get Connected’. This highlights the role of social connection in promoting lifelong learning in the workplace.
This theme encourages us to consider:
How we engage people in learning by building motivation and removing barriers to participation
The vital role of workplace communities in encouraging, supporting, and sustaining learning
The impact of connecting colleagues across the organisation to share knowledge, develop skills, and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous learning
Every year, the MCF and RMBI Care Co. takes part in the national, week-long initiative. Our HR team hosted an event in the office last week which invited staff to get connected through quizzes, games, cheese and chocolate tasting, as well as mindfulness activities like mug painting.
During this event, there were many sessions held across the week, including a pilates lesson, an ‘Ask me anything’ session with a Macmillan nurse, an informative webinar on ‘The Power of Digital Communication’, led by the MCF and RMBI Care Co. Marketing Managers, as well as a Q&A session on learning and development with our HR team.

“We hosted a range of successful sessions for Learning at Work Week this year, designed to help staff at the MCF and RMBI Care Co. connect through activities and learning opportunities. This aligns closely with our commitment to supporting staff wellbeing and fostering a positive work environment built on strong, collaborative relationships. The impact has been clear and encouraging.”

Learning at Work Week continues to be a valuable opportunity for the MCF and RMBI Care Co. to bring colleagues together, inspire curiosity, and promote a culture of continuous learning. By embracing this year’s theme of ‘Get Connected’, we’ve not only encouraged professional development but also strengthened the relationships that make our workplace a supportive and engaging place to be.
We look forward to next year’s Learning at Work initiative!
“I see the people I’ve visited getting support from the MCF and think to myself ‘I assisted that person; I made a difference’ – it’s an amazing feeling.”
As exam season approaches, stress and anxiety levels can soar for children and young people. The pressure to perform well can feel overwhelming, impacting mental wellbeing and self-confidence.
We’ve all heard the statistic that one in four people will experience a mental health problem of some kind each year in England. But, only a third of people who experience these symptoms will seek out treatment.
