Is your charity eligible for a grant?
If your charity meets our eligibility criteria, you will be invited to complete a short online expression of interest which will be reviewed by the Charity Grants team.

Our four target groups are Early Years (0-5), Domestic Abuse, Special Educational Needs & Disabilities, and Dementia. Please confirm that your application is to support one of the MCF's target groups:

Question 1: Are you a registered charity with the Charity Commission for England and Wales or the relevant Central registry of the respective Guernsey, Jersey or Isle of Man's government?

Question 2: Do you have at least one year of independently examined or audited accounts published on the Charity Commission website?

The MCF only supports charities registered with the Charity Commission. Please note, unfortunately exempt charities are not eligible to apply.
Question 3: Are all of your beneficiaries based in England, Wales, Guernsey, Jersey or Isle of Man?
Yes
No
The MCF only accepts independently examined or audited charity accounts. If you have recently merged then you will need to have one year of accounts as a merged organisation.
Question 4: If you have previously received a grant from the MCF, has there been a gap of two years from the end of the grant?

The grant ends 12 months from the date of the last instalment. For example, a one year grant awarded in 2018 ends in 2019; the charity would be eligible to reapply in 2021. A two year grant awarded in 2018 ends in 2020; the charity would be eligible to reapply in 2022.
Question 5: If you have previously applied to the MCF, has there been a gap of one year from the date of your previous submission?
