Rahul’s story
Freemason Rahul had previously been working with an overseas business, until the contract ended when the company was nationalised in early 2025. His contract was soon terminated, leaving him in a difficult financial position.
“I lost a substantial income, and I tried to manage with my state and private pensions and other benefits, but I found myself falling further into debt.”
Rahul received the MCF’s monthly newsletter, Charity Light which included a feature about our support, so he decided to get in touch and find out if he was eligible.
My experience with MCF was brilliant, they responded to me quickly and arranged for a senior Freemason to come to my house and help me apply for MCF grants.
The MCF were able to help Rahul by providing a series of Daily Living Costs (DLC) grants.
“The support I have received has helped ease my financial burden, and I am now able to pay some of my debts back. It has also helped me emotionally, as now I can start living without having to worry about some of my money problems.”
I would recommend others in the fraternity to come forward and ask for help – the MCF’s support is provided to those who need it, with no strings attached. I now know the value of being part of the Freemasonry community; we look after each other.
