Steve and Bobbie May
The May family consisting of husband and wife, Steve and Bobbie, have had a tough few years navigating illness and carer responsibilities, however through the connection with Dorset Freemasons, Kath, an MCF Adviser who is a member of the Advice and Support Team (AST), was able to help the family manage their challenges.
Rahul’s story
Freemason Rahul had previously been working with an overseas business, until the contract ended when the company was nationalised in early 2025. His contract was soon terminated, leaving him in a difficult financial position.

Alan has been a dedicated Freemason for many years, which has always been a source of pride and purpose in his life. But when a marriage breakdown and a change in life circumstances left him struggling to support his children, Alan found himself facing challenges he never expected.

When John and his wife lost everything – their income, private pensions, and savings – their life changed overnight. The guidance provided by the Advice and Support Team (AST) was more than a source of financial help, it was a lifeline.
Kim’s story
After Kim’s partner of 45 years died, she was left in a difficult financial situation and became the sole carer for her stepson – who sadly passed away just three months later.
Our Advice and Support Team (AST) helped Kim to access state benefits during this difficult time, which offered her much-needed financial stability.
Lauryn’s story
Three years ago, Lisa was struggling to find a way forward for her daughter Lauryn. Following an autism diagnosis, Lauryn was removed from mainstream education due to burnout and emotional overwhelm. She began having frequent seizures and was eventually diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder, losing the ability to walk two and a half years ago.

Glenn Nicholls, a proud Portsmouth native, faced significant challenges after suffering severe health issues beginning in June 2024.
Ewan’s story
Ewan has been a Freemason for 22 years. He also spent over 20 years in the emergency services, which eventually took a serious toll on his mental health.
Writing His Legacy: Paul’s Journey to Giving Back
Paul has been a Freemason in the Province of Leicestershire and Rutland for 11 years and has consistently supported the MCF. Recently, Paul decided to use the Free Will Writing Service offered by the MCF, in partnership with The GoodWill Partnership, to arrange his Will and Legacy.

Son of a Freemason, Steven (13) sought mental health support to address issues with his friends at school, which left him feeling excluded and anxious.
