Trevor’s story
A hernia and a tumor near Trevor’s hip meant that he couldn’t walk or drive, and he began to feel trapped in his own home.
Facing a years-long wait on the NHS, he called the MCF to see if we could help.
“I couldn’t walk or even move really without pain. My right hip was completely worn out, and I couldn’t get out of the house. I was trapped, and had to stay inside. I ended up losing half my bodyweight.
The MCF paid for my hernia and tumour to be operated on, and now I feel great! I’ve re-gained a lot of my mobility and independence and I can walk without pain.
